Boudoir Los Angeles | The Perfect Gift

November 29, 2013

The day has come, you’re still stuffed with all the lovely food from the day before, but you somehow managed to wake up at 3:00 am to get started on your Christmas shopping (or maybe you started last night at 8:00 PM and aren’t ready to stop just yet.)

Black Friday has lured you away from your families, from the coziness of your beds, from the appeal of lunchtime leftovers

and into a world filled with other exhausted shoppers like yourselves, people just trying to get a good deal.

With all this excess activity, you’re going to need a vacation from your vacation.

You deserve a chance to kick back and be pampered, regain some inner balance, and perhaps create the perfect gift for that special someone in the process.

You’ve had a very full week, you need a Christmas Boudoir Session.

For the next few weeks, alongside my typical boudoir packages, I am offering specials on mini-boudoir sessions that are the perfect holiday stocking stuffer for that certain someone in your life.

Message me today at to set up your session.

What I’m Thankful For

I am going to be honest with you for a moment, it has been a trying few months for me.

I’ve had to take my work in a whole new direction, taking on responsibilities that I had previously shared, and I have done my best to rise above the challenges of newness and self-sufficiency.

But despite the difficulties I’ve faced, there’s not a single thing I would change about my life at this moment.

I truly believe that everything happens for a reason and that attitude you have about it, is what shapes your future.

Sometimes change is frightening, you see it looming ahead of you and you want to run and hide under the covers and turn on Netflix and not go outside. But by avoiding the risk that comes with change, you’ll never get to experience the rewards and unbelievable joys which could come along with it.

I’ve taken risks, and each day brings its own set of challenges, but its own set of excitements.

I am so grateful that I live in Los Angeles where the sun is shining, and I’m incredibly thankful that I have the career that I have.

Not only could I not imagine living a life without spending most of it with a camera in my hands, but I am also so privileged to meet so many beautiful people and to be part of an industry that exists to promote the beauty of real woman, works to empower them, and inspire them to live fully confident and healthy lives.

It’s truly an honor, and as long as I am able to do this, I will never take it for granted.

To all the people traveling this week, I wish you safe travels to your chosen destinations.

Be good to each other, hold your loved ones tight, and have a very Happy Thanksgiving.

How to Make the Most of Your Boudoir Photography Session

Normally I post Tuesdays about Boudoir photography tips for photographers, but today I’m going to do something a bit different. I’m going to focus on you, the person in front of the camera!

Many people who book a boudoir session have never done it before.

Perhaps they are planning a sweet surprise for their honey on their wedding night, or looking to create a timeless record of how awesome they look at this time in their lives.

These people aren’t professional models, they probably don’t spend a lot of time in front of the camera, and so chances are, they are a bit nervous. But they don’t need to be!

If you feel nervous about your upcoming boudoir session, just rest your mind at ease.

Not only will it be an incredibly empowering experience, and you’ll leave feeling like a million bucks, but you’ll have some fancy photos of yourself that you can cherish for the rest of your life.

But although the photographer and his or her beauty design team will conspire to showcase you at your most fabulous sexy best, there are a few things you can do to help the process, and to begin to feel more confident even before the day of the shoot.

Tips for a Great Boudoir Session

1. The Details

You’re investing time and money into this photo shoot, you want it to be the best it can possibly be.

The best way to do that is not to skimp out on the details. For starters, don’t forget typical grooming habits like shaving.

Also, spending a few extra bucks on a mani-pedi will add lovely touch.

Having chipped or unkempt nails can really take a way from the overall look.

You’re the star of the day, show yourself how worth it you are.

 2. Nice Lingerie/Negligé/Clothes

You know you don’t need an excuse to buy lingerie, but if you did, this would absolutely be one.

Whether you prefer simple elegance, lace, or an off-the shoulder sweater, use this opportunity to splurge on something pretty, it’ll make the photos that much better.

3.Just Relax

Believe it or not, it won’t be as hard as you think.

You don’t have to know how to pose, do your own hair makeup, or know which angle you look best at.

That’s all taken care of for you. All you have to do is show up and be you.

So when the time comes for your boudoir session, leave your worries at the door, and expect to have an incredible time.

Which you will.

Have any questions about the Boudoir experience, or if you’ve been to a boudoir session and have some tips to share, don’t hesitate to comment!

Dressing  the Age You Fee

You know what annoys me? The concept of “fashion police.”

As if everyone should adhere to some absurd standard of style, like we’re all meant to be forward thinking fashion clones with no sense of personality.

And so, I’m calling for a revolution.

A revolution where women don’t feel restricted by standards of beauty, including those of fashion.

What you wear is the first thing people notice when they see you, it makes a statement about you, and you get to decide what that statement is. You don’t have to “dress your age,” or wear subdued colors when you want to wear bright ones (or vice versa), you should dress the age you feel, and show off the colors you feel suit you best.

As we head into the weekend, a time for (hopefully) some relaxation and a bit of fun, don’t fall subject to outdated or nonsensical standards of beauty, be yourself  and dress however you want!
